Dermatitis is one of the most common skin disorders. Atopic dermatitis is related to the current (chronic) condition that causes uncomfortable, inflamed skin. Most of the time spots appear on the face, neck, proboscis or limbs. It flares up for a while. Skin infections are caused by bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses. The main infectious diseases of the skin are impetigo, staph infection, cellulitis etc. It is the cause of various skin diseases which can eventually lead to leprosy. 

Herbal Dermatology

Herbal dermatology uses topical creams and lotions made from ingredients available in nature. The most recent material reviews plant-derived ingredients, which may include medicinal plants, roots, flowers, and essential oils, but skin care products include products made from animals such as waxes and minerals from natural ingredients. These substances can be combined with various carrier agents, preservatives, surfactants, humectants and emulsifiers.

Psychodermatology

Psychodermatology is an interesting domain of vitiligo that overlaps with psychotherapy. The field of dermatology has received limited efforts, partly due to lack of training in the field. Psychodermatology or Psychocutaneous Medicine includes disorders that border psychotherapy and dermatology.

Dermoscopy

Dermoscopy or dermatoscopy refers to the examination of the skin using a microscope on the surface of the skin and is also called 'epiluminoscopy' and 'epiluminescence microscopy'. It traditionally consists of a magnifying glass (specifically x10), a non-polarized light source, a transparent plate and a fluid medium between the instrument and the skin, and allows the examination of skin lesions that are not obstructed by skin surface reflections.
