Diabetes is an acute metabolic disorder in which the human body cannot make enough insulin or does not respond to the insulin produced by cells. Symptoms of high blood sugar include frequent urination, increased thirst and loss of appetite. Globally, an estimated 382 million people were diagnosed with diabetes in 2013, by 8.3%.
